Ivan Houston
I help corporate clients with more complex requirements, combining strong commercial awareness, a multi-disciplinary approach and a deep understanding of the UK tax and regulatory environment to achieve successful outcomes. I also shape the strategy of the business along with my director colleagues, and provide support to all the team as we continue to grow the business, nurture talent and improve and develop our advisory capabilities.

I'm a director and shareholder of Scholes Ltd. I retain a hands-on approach to management within the firm.
Ryan Allan
As the firm’s Head of Audit and Assurance, I am responsible for overseeing the delivery of our audit services to our corporate and charity clients. I also supervise our accounts team who are responsible for preparing company, charity, sole trader and partnership accounts.
Audrey Rennie
I jointly oversee accounts preparation, taxation, payroll, bookkeeping and VAT at our Aberdeen and Laurencekirk offices. I take a personal interest in our clients and their businesses to help them achieve their goals.

I help our sole trader and partnership clients with their accounting and bookkeeping requirements. I'm also currently studying towards my Chartered Accountant qualification.

As part of the accounts team at Scholes, the majority of my time is spent preparing the accounts of clients.

I am a member of the audit and accounts department where I prepare annual accounts for sole trader and partnership businesses, as well as statutory accounts and tax returns for limited companies.

I am part of the accounts team for Aberdeen and Laurencekirk. I process annual accounts for sole traders and partnerships in a variety of industries.

I'm a member of the team responsible for providing outsourced bookkeeping and VAT services to our clients.
Estelle Hope
I have a wide-ranging role in the Edinburgh office and no two days are the same. I look after the accounts and taxation services for clients to ensure that they meet their statutory obligations and help them to develop their businesses further. I also carry out audits for some of our audit clients.

I am mainly involved with the preparation of accounts & tax computations for a wide range of clients.

I manage the preparation of Tax Returns for individuals, partnerships, seafarers, and trusts, as well as assisting clients with a range of personal taxation queries and personal tax planning.

I work in the tax department helping to prepare tax returns for a range of clients. I also assist in the preparation of sole trader and partnership accounts as well as helping out in our payroll department.

My main duty at Scholes is to support audits, to assist with bookkeeping, and to prepare annual accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies. Beyond this, I also attend classes and undertake study for my ICAS qualification.

I help businesses to comply with their reporting and tax obligations and also provide practical advice to entrepreneurs on financial and related matters. As a QuickBooks and Xero Certified Advisor I also help small business owners to realise the full benefits of using cloud accounting software.

I help our corporate clients to meet their statutory reporting obligations and comply with the corporation tax rules. I also undertake audits.

I help a wide range of businesses to prepare and interpret their financial and management accounts.
Steve Allan
I help our clients to comply with their obligations under the UK Income Tax Self Assessment regime. I also advise client companies on their obligations in relation to UK corporation tax, as well as providing support to my colleagues on a wide range of tax matters.
